The View Billing page provides a detailed record of your billing history as simple charts. This enables you to easily review your account billing information and assess your current expenses.

Basics

The View Billing screen is available in the Aerport Portal under the Dashboard menu. The View Billing page displays a chart of your account billing information over a selected timeframe. It also includes four drop-down filter menus that let you adjust the information displayed in your chart.

Navigating the View Billing Screen

The View Billing screen includes four filter menus that enable you to adjust the following:

  • Chart Type: The type of chart.
  • Time Period: The increment of time (Monthly or Cumulative daily). Some chart types may not offer both options.
  • From (UTC): Start date of displayed account billing information.
  • To (UTC): End date of displayed account billing information.

To filter the information displayed in the View Billing page:

  1. Click the Chart Type menu and select the chart you want to view.
  2. Select the Time Period you want displayed in the chart.
  3. Set a start and end date displayed billing information using the From (UTC) and To (UTC) drop-down menus.
  4. Click Update Graph to load the new chart.

To view more detailed data about your billing history, hover your cursor over any data point in the chart. A small window appears with a breakdown of billing information from the selected point in time.

Working with Chart Types

The View Billing page can display three charts:

Device States

The Device States chart shows the total number of devices in your account over the selected period of time. This chart categorizes your devices as:

  • Provisioned: Reachable through the Aeris network services and can transmit data. Transmitted data is charged at an overage rate. Provisioned SIMS are considered Active.
  • Billed: Accessible through the Aeris network services and charged on a monthly basis. Billed SIMS are considered Active.
  • Suspended: Reachable through the Aeris network services and can transmit data. Transmitted data is charged at an overage rate. Suspended SIMS are typically considered Active.
  • Cancelled: Cannot be reached through the Aeris network services or transmit data. You cannot edit SIMs that are in a Cancelled state.

The legend beneath the chart indicates which line colors map to each type of device.

To view information about your device states at a given point in time, hover your cursor over the data point you want to view. A small window appears with more detailed information.

Total Bill

The Total Bill chart shows the amount your account was billed over the selected time period alongside the number of billed devices in your account. Charges are grouped in the following categories:

  • MRC: Monthly recurring costs.
  • Data: Cost of consumed data that exceeded your plan.
  • SMS Charges: Cost of SMS used beyond the limits of your plan.
  • Voice Charges: Cost of Voice used beyond the limits of your plan.
  • Miscellaneous Charges: Any extra charges incurred by your account.

The legend beneath the chart indicates which bar colors map to each type of charge.

Average Bill

The Average Bill chart shows the average amount your account was billed each month for every charge category over the selected time period.

Note: Charge categories in the Average Bill chart are the same as those in the Total Billed chart.

Exporting the View Billing Graph Data

From the Export drop-down menu, you can save the current graph in a variety of formats, or you can print it
